National Wildlife Refuge Week:

Activities for NWR Week have included visits to seven schools on and around Togiak National Wildlife Refuge. Presentations were given to kindergarten through 12th grade students. National Wildlife Refuge Week activities have enhanced students' awareness of the issues facing Togiak Refuge and other refuges, the opportunities available at refuges, and the effects of different actions on refuge resources.

Togiak Refuge open houses and informational broadcasts on local radio and television channels are also among the events held at Togiak Refuge for NWR Week.
