There are many kinds of fish found on Togiak Refuge. Each type of fish, such as sockeye salmon, chinook salmon, Dolly Varden, or northern pike, is called a "species." None of the species of fish can survive without its surroundings. The things around it, such as food, water, and shelter, are called its "habitat."
